Long ago the world was wild
swathed with hair – an untamed child
It did whatever it wanted to do –
quakes, volcanoes, hurricanes too
It had no sense of grace, you see
(not at all like Mercury)
A rebel planet with no name –
fierce, destructive – quite untamed
